When you buy a piece from us, we consider that you have found your perfect mate and have invested not just money, but feelings too. If your swimwear is falling apart real quick resulting you to tear up, there is a possibility that you aren’t treating those pretty clothing right.
Swim wears are important for aquaphiles like you and me. To make them last for longer years, follow the below-recommended tips –
- Get your swimwear showered first
Never enter into a water body without getting your bathing suit wet in the shower. A fabric absorbs the highest amount of water when it gets wet for the first time. If you take it in the pool or ocean in a dry state, it’ll absorb too much chlorine water. You don’t want it as chlorine fades the colors of your attire. So make sure you’re literally dripping before hitting the water body.
- Never avoid rinsing after a beach trip
Once you’re out of the water and reached home, make sure you give a good rinse to your swimwear. All the chemicals of water, body oils, and sun protectants can damage it. Just submerge it in a tub of cold water and add a little amount of detergent.
- Don’t use hard soaps or detergents
While rinsing, never use the regular soap bar or detergent. It can damage the material. Use something that’s mild and delicate.
- Hand wash your swimwear completely
Never use a washing machine for swimsuits. It damages the delicate parts of the fabric. Also, the heat accumulated in the machine will fade the colors and stretch the fabric.
- Let the apparel dry by itself
Eliminating the use of washing machines rules out the possibility of using machine dryers. This leaves you with the option of drying the swimsuits in sunlight. But it’s a big no too. And oh, don’t even think of hanging your swim clothing. Doing so will stretch the fibers and loosen the material.
- Invest in the right place
And lastly, buy good-quality swimwear. Of course, all the platinum sun buyers – you guys are good. We are talking to the other lot. If your swimwear is showing its colors (the bad ones) even after following all the tips, take the cue guys and ditch your current brand.
